An in vivo micronucleus test of 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid was performed with bone marrow cells of male BDF1 mice. 3-Hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid did not induce micronuclei in the bone marrow cells.

　Test results:

One male animal died in the group treated with 700 mg/kg in the dose-finding study. Toxicity did not substantially differ between the sexes of mice. This chemical did not induce micronucleated erythrocytes in mouse bone marrow cells.
