An in vivo micronucleus test of 2-naphthol was performed with bone marrow cells of male BDF1 mice. 2-Naphthol did not induce micronuclei in the bone marrow cells.

　Test results:

Toxic symptoms were observed at 250 mg/kg and above in the dose-finding study. There were no substantial differences between sexes in toxicity. This chemical did not induce micronucleated erythrocytes in mouse bone marrow cells at up to 250 mg/kg.
